Dear Members: For those of you who do not have Real Player or just prefer to read the interview, this is the written transcript of the July chat interview with Scott. JULY CHAT Q. AND A. WITH SCOTT LAYNE · Q. Carla from Rancagua, Chili asks: How many times a week do you workout and for how long? Do you think of yourself as handsome, or nothing special? How were you in your teens? How difficult was it to pose naked for playgirl? Do you spend a lot of time on your appearance, hair, face, etc.? · A. Hi Carla, thanks for writing. I usually work out four times a week, and about an hour and a half per workout. Yes, I do think of myself as handsome and special but not perfect and I'm very comfortable with that, confident but not arrogant. I was a real loner in my teens, I never seemed to fit in completely with any one group but that's fine with me, I like to spend time alone, always have. Posing nude was very comfortable for me because I had a very patient and professional photographer, Anneli Adolffson. I don't spend a lot of time in the mirror anymore like I did in the eighties but I do believe in taking good care of my skin and hair with various products. · Q. Kim from Los Angeles asks: How did you get into the club? · A. I'm not sure how you're asking that question Kim. Do you mean to say that I don't belong in the club or are you asking how I got started? I'll assume you mean the latter of the two and answer that. I started dancing in Detroit, Michigan twenty years ago. After several years there, I moved to New York and ended up in the Chippendales organization from 1983 to 1994. In January of 1995, after living in L.A. for seven years, I started the Hollywood men which I now co-own with my partner, Dan Remington. · Q. Kylie from Huntingtom in the U.K. asks: Whats your fantasy? · A. Kylie, I'm living my fantasy. I have the most beautiful woman in the world as my wife (beautiful inside and out). The best kids any father could ask for. A thriving business that is as lucrative as it is enjoyable. The most important thing I have though is the knowledge to appreciate the best things in life, the things that money cannot buy, and to thank God for them. · Q. Connie from Phoenix, Arizona asks: What do you do in your spare time? · A. What spare time? Connie, all of my time is taken up by the needs of the show, my acting career, or my new baby boy Tristan. Since I enjoy each of those activities, I don't mind not having much spare time. When I do get time to myself, I'll either take my Seadoo to the lake or play golf. · Q. Krista from Wilkes Barre Pa. Asks: What do you look for in a woman? · A. Krista, I look for myself. I believe that the longest relationships stem from people who have the same idiosyncratic behavior. Opposites may attract, but I don't think they last. · Q. Craig from Detroit, Michigan asks: How long have you been dancing? · A. Craig, I started twenty years ago in your city. I've had a long and prosperous career as a male dancer but I feel it's about time to stop dancing and start running the show only. I pride myself in still having the physique to dance but my joints ache every morning after the shows from the difficult choreography we do and I want to be able to play golf with my son until I'm 100. · Q. Olga from Madrid, Spain asks: Did you go to college? · A. Olga, I had a full scholarship to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. It was a great opportunity but things didn't work out and I left. · Q. Sabine from Italy asks: What have you acted on recently? · A. Sabine, it's been a slow year for my career, but my most recent roles were on Silk Stalkings, Pacific Blue, Men Behaving Badly, Diagnosis Murder, and Sunset Beach. Thank you all for writing in, I hope I've answered all of your questions to your satisfaction, Scott
